Course Description Short Story Term 2: This course is not just a regular old writing course. During term 2 students will explore what truly goes into writing an short story. Not only will the students be obtaining knowledge on the elements of a short story, but will be writing, evaluating, creating, and letting their creative juices flow. Since this course is only for one term , the information and turnover must come swiftly. At the end of this course the students will get a chance to put their final story together and submit their creation to the school. The administration will then pick the story to display in the hallway bookcase. This course is truly designed to ignite the writing process, and to make writing a fun task; and not a daunting one.
Mid-term Survey: During the middle of the term the students will get a chance to take a short ten question survey. This survey is not graded and taken anonymously. The purpose of this survey is to check for student comprehension, solely for the teacher's needs. Also, the survey results are given to the English department for evaluation on what things could be changed in material and programs.
